Physical, Chemical, and Abrasion Properties of Aggregate and Sub-Base in Selected Quarries, Najaf, Middle of Iraq

This research includes a study of the physical, chemical, and abrasive properties selected quarries at quaternary period deposits in Bahr Al-Najaf-Hassab valley, 35 km southwest Najaf. It aims to evaluate these corresponding with local global specifications (American British standards) for building, construction, concrete work. The results laboratory analyses five sites, which include fine coarse aggregates, such as sub-base, showed accuracy using aggregates work, according Iraqi standards, addition where it was found, first site is class D, second B, third fourth sites are C. As soft rubble, shown that first, fourth, fifth conform standard, so can be concluded most area exploited directly some treatments carried out keep remainder purpose exploitation.
